This is my share for this week’s photo challenge with the theme “urban”. I have been thinking of what photo to share to follow the site’s definition of Urban, so I decided to quote a few lines about the challenge.
It says, “ It is about documenting urban living space and how people adapt their environment to certain needs and vice versa. Urban photography shots provide cultural, social, economical, and ecological context all at once, and can capture social tension.”
So here’s my photo…
It’s a photo of street children collecting some materials to be used as sleeping beds at night maybe. I took the shot to show contrast of the children’s situation with the photo’s background. If you may notice, the background on the photo is a hotel, a place where anyone can have a comfortable rest, which is what the children is looking for each night.
Ang that’s true with almost all urban situations.
